The Philippines is now the "most corrupt" country in Asia, according to the recent PERC survey. The report further says there is "no sincere effort to curb corruption." It's all lip service.
The Philippines is also now the second most dangerous place for journalists, next only to Iraq. Philip Alston, UN rapporteur on extrajudicial killings reported that the military is responsible for many of the unsolved killings. Initially, the administration issued denials, even questioning and belittling the credentials of Alston. Later, they were forced to issue pronouncements that they will address the problem. Today, the killings continue. There is really no serious effort to resolve the unsolved killings or to prevent new ones. It's all lip service.
The Black and White Movement offers its Black List / White List campaign to help elect into Congress men and women of courage who will exact accountability from GMA for the unabated corruption and killings through congressional investigations and by initiating the only constitutionally prescribed process of determining culpable violation of the constitution by the president - impeachment.
You can actively campaign AGAINST candidates listed in the Black List and campaign FOR those listed in the white list.
